The fastest and easiest application is to till the soil a week or two before planting seeds, apply the fertilizer, and gently rake over the loose soil. HyR BRIX recommends about 5 pounds of fertilizer for every 100-foot row or 450-square-foot area. This provides your corn and vegetable crops with the perfect blend of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus to start, with time-released additional nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus as the seedlings develop. Then during the pollination phase, sulfur, calcium, and boron are released with additional nitrogen to ensure sweet, robust, full ears of corn. Since nitrogen is bonded with other nutrients that are time-released in this fertilizer, sweet corn receives the perfect amount of nitrogen at each growth phase.  HyR BRIX Sweet Corn Fertilizer has an NPK (Nitrogen, Potassium, Phosphorus) ratio of 16-7-10 with Ca2S6 (Calcium and Sulfur) in an organic, time-release granular formula that includes other necessary micro-nutrients for the perfect sweet corn crop. 

It is also fine to apply HyR BRIX Sweet Corn fertilizer at the time of planting or during the growth period, but delicate seedlings and small plants would do best with this or any fertilizer application as a side dressing . . . about 4 inches away from the base of each plant.
