When and Where to Plant- To speed germination, soak seeds in water for 1-2 hours before planting. Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before your last frost date. Prefers a soil temperature of around 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit to germinate. Plant in an area with loose, well-draining soils.
