Rohrer Seeds Review from Frog Hop Greenhouse and Farm

I was recommended to Rohrer by Scott Highland of Highland Farm. I do like the folks at Rohrer. Rutgers tomatoes seem to grow well in our soil here at the New Jersey shore. It's sandy and had to be built up over the years with manure and topsoil. I'd say Rutgers is a reliable grower and a good tasting tomato. And I do recommend Rohrer's to friends as well as sharing plants.

Good Germination

Seed planted on 3/17. I have no fancy setup—starting pods on a windowsill in living area using standard starting mix. Plants began emerging 7 days later at which time grow light started. Over next week or so 22 of 24 seeds germinated & plants look healthy. Transplanted to larger pots 2 weeks ago. Lost just one. Currently outside on deck acclimating. Won’t be planting out for a few more weeks. I would say that 88% germination under less than ideal conditions is very good.
