Pennsylvania Butter Flavored Popcorn Seeds (Pkt)
Seeds are produced in partnership with The Landis Valley Heirloom Seed Project.
About- This heirloom variety’s roots can be traced back to the Pennsylvania Dutch, pre-1885. Each 8’ stalk will produce 4-6 ears of creamy-colored kernels. Some consider it to be the best-tasting variety on the market! The kernels produce a creamy, buttery-flavored popcorn.
Planting- Direct seed in a sunny location after danger of frost and soil temperatures average 65°F or above. Plant in blocks of at least 4 rows to ensure proper pollination. Fertilize as necessary.
Care & Harvest- Control weed growth to prevent competition. Keep soil moist. Allow ears to dry on plant. Harvest and store in a dry place. To pop place the whole ear or individual kernels in a brown paper bag. Microwave on high until popping slows, approximately 2 minutes.
