Lychnis Maltese Cross (pkt)

Lychnis chalcedonica. Perennial.

This old-fashioned garden favorite was planted in Thomas Jefferson’s gardens at Monticello. Its brilliant display of round, orange-red flower heads atop tall stems lends grace to a back garden border or informal wildflower landscapes. Maltese Cross is also known as Jerusalem Cross or burning love flower. It’s very easy to grow, drought tolerant, and deer resistant, and attracts hummingbirds and butterflies.
