Lavender Seeds
About- Vera, or English Lavender is a compact perennial shrub, treasured for its aroma, attractive flowers, and versatility. The flowers and leaves can be used in cooking to infuse dishes with subtle floral notes, or add it to your favorite tea for a calming effect!
When and Where to Plant- Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost and mist with a spray bottle to avoid displacing the seeds. Transplant into pots or directly in the garden when seedlings appear sturdy. Select a well draining, full sun location. Allow lavender plants to harden off outside for a week prior to planting.
Care and Harvest- Water thoroughly, but allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Remove spent flowers to encourage more blooms, and prune the plants in early Spring to promote bushier growth.
