Green Arrow Pea Seeds

ROHRER SEEDS

About- Vigorous vines produce extra long, bright green pods that are filled with peas that have a most delightful flavor. Long slim pods are packed with 9-11 small, dark green peas.

When and Where to Plant- Select a sunny location and plant in early spring, as soon as the soil can be worked. Cultivate soil and enrich with vegetable food and organic matter. Continue planting at 2 week intervals until mid-spring. Plant again in late summer for a late fall crop. For better germination firm soil over seed.

Care and Harvest- Grows best in a soil with a pH between 6 and 7, and just a light application of fertilizer. Plants that grow over 24" tall are easier to maintain and pick if they are trellised. Water at ground level to reduce the probability of disease. Pick when seeds have enlarged in the pod and are still bright green. Hold vine while picking to avoid tearing the plant.

Planting Depth- 3/4-1"

Seed Spacing- 1/2-1"

Spacing Between Rows- 30-36"

Days to Germination- 7-15

Plant Spacing- Do not thin

Plant Height- 26"

Days to Maturity- 68

2 oz. Pack Sows- 12 foot row

green arrow pea's

Have been growing green arrow peas for years, and they are one of my favorite varieties. Had a problem this year with high winds blowing the vines over the 4-foot vertical support fence and breaking the stems. Will definitely grow them again next year
