Cumin Seeds

About- Cumin is a pungent herb that is most commonly used to spice Asian, Indian and Middle Eastern foods. This heat loving herb is easy to grow and can add a lot of depth and flavor to your dishes!

When and Where to Plant- Start indoors 4 weeks before the final frost and transplant once temperatures reach a consistent low of 60 degrees. In warmer climates, direct sow outdoors. Prefers well-drained, sandy loam soil and full sun.

Care and Harvest- Soak seeds for 8 hours prior to sowing. Keep plants hydrated without overwatering. Harvest by hand once you see the bloom of the white or pink flowers of the plant. Cut seed heads to dry indoors as late in the season as possible.
