Black Aztec Ornamental Corn


(Organic Heirloom) Can be grown for fresh corn on the cob or harvested when dry for flour. This heirloom corn was introduced to the seed trade by James J. H. Gregory in the 1860s and is said to have been one of the varieties grown by the Aztecs over 2,000 years ago. Stalks grow 6 feet tall and ears average 8 inches. Striking kernels mature from white to pale blue and eventually jet black. 68 days for fresh harvest, 95 days for dry. (approx. 50 seeds/pkt)
