About- This large forage beet has many unique uses and capabilities. Harvest the root or greens for typical beet uses or utilize this crop as a livestock grazing forage. Highly nutritious and easy to grow, this beet can grow to immense sizes. Mangel beets are also sometimes called fodder beets or mangelwurzel.
When and Where to Plant- Sow seeds in the garden as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring. Seeds will germinate in 5-10 days. Select an area with loose soils and full sun.
