Size: Cherokee Yellow Wax Beans (2 Oz Pkt)

About- This All-American Selections winner has been wowing gardeners for almost a century. It produces 5”- 6” long stringless golden wax beans on an upright plant. Harvest often to encourage new fruit set.

When and Where to Plant- Select a sunny location and plant when all danger of frost is past and the soil has warmed. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth over with a rake. Firm soil over seed and keep soil moist. For a continuous supply of fresh beans, plant every 3 weeks.

Care and Harvest- Grows best in a soil with a pH between 6 and 7, and just a light application of fertilizer. Water at ground level to reduce the probability of disease. Pick beans every 2-3 days, when pods are 4-6 inches long and before seeds develop and the sides bulge. Hold the stem with one hand and pick with the other hand to avoid tearing the plant.

Bumper Crop

We are currently enjoying a bumper crop of both yellow wax and green beans from Rohrer’s Seeds. Delicious now and out of the freezer this coming winter.

Great bean

We love these beans! It’s the only variety of yellow beans the bugs seem to let along in my garden. Other years we purchased them from another company. We decided to give Rohrer's a try because they had everything on my list so I didn’t have to pay separate shipping.
