Velvet Queen Sunflower Seeds

About- With heads averaging 4-6" in diameter and stunning shades of deep maroon, orange and yellow, this one is sure to grab attention. Typically growing to about 5-6 feet tall, Velvet Queen is an excellent choice for borders and hedges as well as a backdrop to your garden. 

When and Where to Plant- Direct sow in the spring after the threat of frost has passed. Prefers well draining soils and full sun. Plant every couple of weeks for continuous blooms.

Care and Harvest- Keep soil moist, but do not over water. Harvest when the first color of the petals appear and remove foliage for longer vase life.
