Rosemary Seeds
About- Rosemary can be used as a natural air freshener, has numerous medicinal uses and is a favorite kitchen herb. Fragrance is similar to pine and can be infused in oils for skin irritation or to make rosemary tea. Promotes mental and digestive function and is great for seasoning meat dishes.
When and Where to Plant- Start indoors, 6 - 8 weeks before the last frost or sow outdoors once the soil temperatures reach 55 degrees. Sow in slightly acidic, light loamy soils that are dry and well-drained in an area with full sun. Will not survive in wet soils.
Care and Harvest- Soak seeds overnight and then sow directly onto soil but do not cover as the seeds need light to germinate. Keep soil moist during germination. Sprigs and leaves can be harvested as needed. Trim before blooming for the best results.
