Mammoth Dill Seeds
About- While similar to other varieties of Dill, Mammoth Dill sets itself apart with its large, abundant foliage. Enjoy the feathery foliage in salads, soups, or other culinary creations or harvest the seeds and make your own Dill pickles!
When and Where to Plant- Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost and transplant outdoors when they are a few inches tall. Direct sow outdoors in a location that receives 6-8 hours of sun/day. after all danger of frost has passed and soil temperatures have reached 60 degrees.
Care and Harvest- Water evenly during dry spells, but keep in mind Dill prefers slightly drier conditions. Mulch around the base of your Dill plants to control moisture and suppress weeds. Mammoth dill can grow rather tall up to 72" would benefit from plant stakes or a tomato cage. Harvest when your plant has grown to 12-18" and the foliage is a lush green color.
