Seed treated with fungicide

About- Exceptional variety of 'Triple Sweet' sweet corn with outstanding eating quality. Ears average 8 inches and are filled to the tip with exceptionally sweet, yellow and white kernels. Providence is well-suited for roadside stands, local markets as well as home gardens.

When and Where to Plant- Select a sunny location and plant when all danger of frost is past and the soil has warmed. For best results, cultivate soil and fertilize with vegetable food. To insure good pollination, sow seed in blocks of at least 4 rows side by side, rather than a long single row. For an extended harvest, plant every 3 weeks until early summer.

Care and Harvest- Grows best in soil with a pH between 6 and 7. Cultivate weekly or mulch between plants and rows to control weeds. Pick when silks turn brown and ears are firm. Test by piercing a few kernels with thumbnail. The skin should be tender and the juice should have a milky look to it. For the best eating experience, pick, prepare, cook and eat the same day.

So far so good!

So far so good! I’ve never grown corn before but we’ve bought PROVIDENCE sweet corn from a local veggie stand for years and he fell ill and can’t do it anymore so I bought some to try. I started them in seed trays and they took off, then into pots, and I was getting worried, since it didn’t stop raining around here until this last week, but we finally, just got them in the garden the week before the Fourth. Time will tell, if they don’t turn out, I’m sure it isn’t the seed, they had a rough start this year. I just hope the rest of the seed is still good for next year! P.S. if anyone has any suggestions, as to the best way to store them for next year, I’d be very grateful. BG Minnesota

Best Sweet Corn

Just wanted to let you know the results of the Providence sweet corn I ordered this past spring. I have been gardening for 50+ years and the Providence is the best sweet corn I have ever grown in spite of the terrible spring and early summer drought we experienced. The ears were large and full. Several of our friends also commented that it is the best corn they have ever eaten. I will definitely be ordering more next spring. Thank you.

Providence review

First time using this variety. Tough growing year so far because of weather, but corn is waist high and looking good. Very interested in harvest this year.
