About- This dark green, heart-shaped hot pepper is a great option for adding a little kick to your meals. Called Ancho when dried and ground into powder, it has a distinctive aroma with red-brown color.
Planting- Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Plant 1 plant per 16-18” pot. If grown in raised beds, plant 18” apart with 24” between rows.
Care & Harvest- Water regularly and fertilize once a week. Harvest the first fruits when they are green and allow later fruit to turn red, as they can be dried and used as anchoes!
