Eden White Sweet Corn Seeds
Seed treated with fungicide
About- This is our sweetest white sweet corn variety. Eden is a game changer as it unites the exceptional quality of taste and texture of the Augmented varieties with excellent emergence and vigor. Produces uniform 8 inch ears that have great tip fill and are easy to pick. Eden was the favorite white variety of our summer sweet corn trials here in Lancaster. Must be Isolated from other non-augmented varieties.
When and Where to Plant- Select a sunny location and plant when all danger of frost is past and the soil has warmed. For best results, cultivate soil and fertilize with vegetable food. To ensure good pollination, sow seed in blocks of at least 4 rows side by side, rather than a long single row. For an extended harvest, plant every 3 weeks until early summer.
Care and Harvest- Grows best in soil with a pH between 6 and 7. Cultivate weekly or mulch between plants and rows to control weeds. Pick when silks turn brown and ears are firm. Test by piercing a few kernels with thumbnail. The skin should be tender and the juice should have a milky look to it. For the best eating experience, pick, prepare, cook and eat the same day.
