Torch Tithonia - Mexican Sunflower Seeds

About- The stunning, deep orange flowers of the Mexican Sunflower set it apart from other flowers. Although it is not a true sunflower, it has a close resemblance in its small, bright cherry petals. Flowers are up to four inches wide and attract bees and butterflies. This species is native to Mexico and is heat and drought tolerant. Recommended for the back of the border, cutting gardens and pollinator gardens.

When and Where to Plant- Start seed indoors several weeks before your last frost or direct sow once it has warmed. Gently press seeds into the soil in an area with plenty of light.

Care and Harvest- Prevent snail and slug damage by sprinkling some diatomaceous earth or crushed eggshells on the soil around the plants.
