Red (Swamp) Milkweed Seeds
About- Red swamp milkweed provides food for a countless number of pollinators when few other plants are blooming in the heat of summer. Producing beautiful pinkish purple blooms this flower is the preferred food source for Monarch caterpillars.
When and Where to Plant- Benefits from cold stratification! Place seeds on a wet paper towel and into a zip lock bag, and place it in the refrigerator for 3-6 weeks, before planting into trays or directly outdoors in the spring.
Care and Harvest- Relatively drought tolerant, water only when extremely dry. Does not require fertilization.
