About- A major attractant and food source for the monarch butterfly. A herbaceous bush with willow like leaves and clusters of small star shaped flowers. The bright orange flowers bloom in June and July and the foliage turns gold in the fall. Drought tolerant and deer resistant.
When and Where to Plant- Prefers an area with full sun and well draining soil. Plant in the fall in warmer climates and late spring in cooler zones.
Care and Harvest- Extremely drought tolerant once plant is established. Does not require fertilization.
