Royal Chantenay Carrot Seeds
About- This well known variety with bright reddish-orange flesh, has thick, strong shoulders and then tapers down to a thinner base. Produces heavy yields of 5-7" long roots, making it a great choice for heavier soils.
When and Where to Plant- Prefers full sun but can tolerate some shade. Will grow best in deep loose, well-drained soil. Sow directly into the garden rather than starting indoors and transplanting.
Care and Harvest- When thinning, cut plants instead of pulling them out or it may damage root systems of adjacent plants. When carrots have reached maturity, gently pull them up by the tops.
