Late Flat Dutch Cabbage Seeds
About- Our best selling cabbage variety and the standard late season variety that is popular with both gardeners and chefs. The large heads are flavorful and sweet with excellent storage capability. A favorite for making kraut.
When and Where to Plant- Start indoors and transplant outside 2-3 weeks before your last expected frost. Choose an area in the garden that gets at least 6 hours of sunlight. The soil should be well-draining with a pH around 6.5. For a fall crop start seedlings in May and transplant in June-July.
Care and Harvest- Harvest cabbage as soon as the head is firm all the way through when you squeeze it. Cabbage is a heavy feeder, so be sure to fertilize well.
