Cylindra Beet Seeds

About- This long skinny beet typically grows to about 6-8 inches long and is ideal for uniform slices. With rich red color and bold flavor, Cylindra makes a great addition to any veggie garden.

When and Where to Plant- Sow seeds outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring. Seeds will germinate in 5-10 days. Select an area with loose soils and full sun.

Care and Harvest- Harvest anytime after the root reaches 1 inch in diameter or as desired. Twist off the leaves rather than cutting to prevent "bleeding" which causes less intense color and perhaps less flavor.
