Hollow Crown Parsnip Seeds
About- Delicious heirloom producing roots that are 12" long and 2 1/4" thick at the shoulder. Has a sweet nutty flavor that gets even sweeter if harvested after the first fall frost.
When and Where to Plant- Parsnips need plenty of time to mature. Sow seeds as early as the ground can be worked in the spring. Ensure that the soil is at least 46 degrees so that the seeds will germinate. A location with full sun is ideal.
Care and Harvest- Amend soil with organic matter and fertilize often. Harvest following a hard frost for the best flavor.
