Toad Pumpkin Seeds
About- This small, semi-hard shell variety is early maturing, yields a high number of teardrop-shaped fruit, 4-5" in diameter, on bush-type plants, and has nice embedded handles. The bright orange color and multiple bumps and warts truly give 'Toad' a unique character. Perfect for holiday decorating!
When and Where to Plant- Plant outside after all chance of frost has passed and the soil temperature is above 65 F degrees. Prefers heavily amended soils and full sun. To avoid downy mildew, water at the base of the plants.
Care and Harvest- Water heavily 1-2 times per week. When vines begin to die and the skin is tough, cut the pumpkin from the vine and allow to harden in the garden. Store in a cool dry environment.
