Thyme Seeds
About- A low growing perennial herb, with a warm, earthy flavor. Growing to a height of 6-12" with woody stems covered in tiny leaves, with dense flower clusters at the top of the stem. Thyme is a sun-loving, low maintenance herb. This versatile herb is cherished both in the kitchen and the garden.
When and Where to Plant- Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sprinkle seeds evenly and gently press into the soil, barely covering the seeds. Mist with a spray bottle to keep the soil damp. Transplant to a full sun, well-draining location in late Spring when the plant is 3" tall.
Care and Harvest- Cut back your Thyme by half it's height each Spring, to prevent woody stems. Harvest your Thyme before the flowers open by cutting stems 2" from the ground. Prune the flowers as they bloom to encourage more growth, and use them aromatically or in an herbal tea.
