Hamburg Rooted Parsley Seeds

About- This is NOT your standard parsley - also called Hamburg Turnip, this heirloom plant plant is mainly used for its 8 - 10 inch turnip-like roots. Delicious in stews and soups, this plant combines the taste of parsley and turnip. Leaves can also be used as you would parsley, for seasoning and garnishes but it is the root that is the main attraction.

When and where to plant- Sow directly into the garden after the last frost. Thrives in fertile soils that are moist but well-drained with full sun. Avoid planting in hot areas to prevent it from drying out. 

Care and Harvest- Be sure to keep the soil moist throughout the germination process. Harvest by gently pulling up the root, similar to harvesting carrots.
