About- Sweet Peppers are a favorite home garden vegetable. The attractive, compact plants complement any garden. Peppers are green, turning red at full maturity when the flavor sweetens considerably. They’re delicious raw or cooked. Serve them in salads, stews, cut in rings as a garnish, in casseroles, or stuffed and baked.
When and Where to Plant- Start indoors approximately 8-10 weeks before last expected frost date. Temperatures must be at least 70°F for good germination rates. Prefer full sun and loamy, well draining soil with a neutral pH.
