Roma II Bean Seeds
About- Produces flat wide pods, similar to the Pole Romano bean. Sturdy upright plants produce bountiful yields of 5 inch long by 3/4 inch wide pods. High quality and distinctive bean flavor have made Roma II a top choice among gardeners for many years. PVP
When and Where to Plant- Select a sunny location and plant when all danger of frost is past and the soil has warmed. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth over with a rake. Firm soil over seed and keep soil moist. For a continuous supply of fresh beans, plant every 3 weeks.
Care and Harvest- Grows best in a soil with a pH between 6 and 7, and just a light application of fertilizer. Water at ground level to reduce the probability of disease. Pick beans every 2-3 days, when pods are 4-6 inches long and before seeds develop and the sides bulge. Hold the stem with one hand and pick with the other hand to avoid tearing the plant.
