Amish Country Organic, By Rohrer Seeds
About- You can't beat the sweet, juicy, tenderness of Early Wonder! This delicious variety is easy to grow and drought tolerant, with a high natural sugar content and erect disease resistant green tops for delicious beet greens. Serve fresh in all stages of growth or store for winter enjoyment. Ideal for table, canning, freezing, pickling and salads.
When and Where to Plant- Sow seeds in the garden as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring. Seeds will germinate in 5-15 days. Select an area with loose soils and full sun.
Care and Harvest- Harvest anytime after the root reaches 1" in diameter or as desired. Twist off the leaves rather than cutting to prevent "bleeding" which causes less intense color and perhaps less flavor as well.
