Waltham 29 Broccoli Seeds
About- This delicious variety produces dark green to blueish green heads and is easy to grow in many regions. Plant in both early spring and mid summer to maximize production and enjoy an extended harvest. Grows best under cool growing conditions.
When and Where to Plant- Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks prior to planting them in the garden. Plant seedlings outdoors 2-3 weeks before the last frost in the spring and for a fall crop in zone 6, direct seed mid to late May, or plant transplants the first week of July.
Care and Harvest- Keep plants well watered throughout the growing season. Harvest when the buds of the head are firm by cutting the stalk of the main head at a slant. Eventually smaller side shoots will grow out from where the cut was made.
